I received a couple comments concerning the beer garden at the Sandtrap and wanted to clear up any confusion that might exist.
Illinois law states that smoking is only permitted outside and must be at least 15' from doorways and/or open windows. The beer garden at the Sandtrap extends approx. 21' from the doors allowing space in the beer garden for smokers according to the law.
The Sandtrap did not receive any TIF funds or taxpayer's money for construction of their new beer garden. However, last year they did receive TIF funds for only tuck-pointing and painting of the exterior of their building.
